The burgundy red walls with the white chair-rail were changed to a more pleasing yellow, which sets off the dark tones of the wooden furniture nicely. Heart pine flooring, salvaged from a 100-year old farmhouse, replaced the wall-to-wall carpet. Also new to the room are the area rugs, coffee table, armoire, and the mirror above the mantel.
